1,000 less passing yds, 15 fewer TD's and 3 more Int's

These three are already making better reads than we had last year, so I'm told.

Julian's ability to punt could make for some very interesting 4th down plays.

I started yelling for them to put Owens in pretty much after the first play. Dantin just did not look like he could move that offence. As it turned out with those two playing in every game they played better. At least that's my take. They sure did not play as well as I expected they should. I was extremely disappointed in they QB play last yr. I know with a new QB and new QB coach we will have one of the most exciting teams to watch in the nation. Go ROCKETS!!!

It was definitely one of the weirder eras, that's for sure. Hopefully, we can finally come up with one QB who can spread the ball around and throw it downfield (to our guys).

This is GREAT news if true.

I had four major criticisms of the team last year:

1) T.O. never lived up to the great potential he showed his sophomore year. I tended to fault the coaching staff on this; however, some of it may have been on T.O. and injuries as well.

2) I didn't always like the offensive play calling (which I presumed was on Candle's shoulders, although there were probably bad reads by T.O. mixed in as well)

3) The D-backs playing off receivers by 10-15 yards and never looking back for the ball on deep patterns.

4) The total Jekyll and Hyde inconsistency of team play (such as "the tale of two halves" Buffalo game for example)

If Candle is doing as good a job at coaching QB as these reports suggest he is and if he is able to produce a QB who can consistently play at a high level, make the proper reads and work thru his progressions, then that could well be the difference between another OK, also ran, 7-5 sort of year and a great 12-2 sort of year that includes a trip back to Ford Field for the MACC game and a decent bowl game.......of course only time will tell.

Just want to say for the record that I don't ever recall jumping on that bandwagon. I do think that any of the three we have now will do a better job.

Defense killed it at practice today.
Look for #44 to be a leading tackler in the MAC this season... give him a few years, and Jalen will be Khalil Mack good.... He was injured a lot of last season, and red shirted the season before. The dude is a BEAST.

Sylvestre and Murdock also look stellar.

A few years ago I watched some early men's practices and predict that Delino Deer would lead the MAC in blocked shots. Hope you're better than I.

A few years ago I watched some early men's practices and predict that Delino Deer would lead the MAC in blocked shots. Hope you're better than I.

I remember that Delino actually looked pretty good his freshman year--raw, but with potential. Didn't he average close to double figures in points that one year? I could be wrong...

Jaylen Coleman from Pittsburgh, PittRocket said he was a stud!!! Saw some glimpses last year, might have been the BGSUcks game if I remember correctly.
