That police chief has gotten great attention for his stand and much admiration around the country except of course from the leftists.

Well, it's Detroit. You'd be silly to not be armed in a war zone like that.

Detroit is such a mess. This DIY-PD is only the latest example.

If you're being attacked, no police response time is going to prevent you from having to fend for yourself, however briefly.

True, but the message would apply anywhere.
If you have an immediate threat, seldom will you have an "immediate" police officer.
