Yes, COBOL is old, but definitely most efficient for banking software on a Unisys mainframe.

We are still using COBOL 74 unfortunately. Just having an END-IF from COBOL 85 would make life SO much easier.

Ready for it ! Going in at 6 since can't watch all of them today, had to get a hotel room for the weekend. Going to be back to back weekends in a hotel wherever we go next week as well.

Me too mostly....I have done some Java and will try to move over to PeopleSoft if/when they finally get everything off the mainframe. We are a rare breed, no one is teaching it anymore and a lot of people retiring. It's actually a very valuable skill to have for the next 10 to 15+ years.

I agree! And unfortunately we are severely "underpaid"... especially with how rare we are.
