I can honestly say from first hand experience that Tony B is a real Dbag.

With his cocky attitude he doesn't deserve to be a D1 head coach.

He is a decent D1 assistant at best.

I have a story from San Antonio that's pretty sad involving him and his 1st yr staff at UTEP.

I've heard the same about Tony B. He'll ride the coattails of Cal pretty much wherever Cal goes - and he is set for life (assuming he didn't totally screw up with his money).

So he knew Barbee would screw up. No Cal, no Memphis. Makes perfect sense. I never really thought about it that way.

I disagree. I think X likes Barbee, believes he can coach, and sees him as one his own. He simply tried to strong arm Memphis into hiring TB because X likes to call the shots. I recall him saying that if TB was hired he'd leave us with a couple of recruits. X likes the idea of creating his own family tree of coaching with him playing the role of godfather.

His family tree completely sucks.

Isn't Kellog doing a decent job at UMASS?
