Isn't his son a freshman on the team? Things could get very awkward...

I don't think Heath is a bad coach. The Collins injury really killled USF this year. Ask Cincinnati fans about the health of Cashmere Wright. When your starting PG goes down, it can ruin your season.

I agree. It's been a roller-coaster ride for the program though so I can understand them looking for a change.

Losing Collins definitely hurt the team but doesn't excuse why he hasn't found anyone that can shoot from outside in all his years at USF. Fans and more importantly boosters have had it with watching inept offenses and lately bad losses.

I really thought the tourney run a couple years ago was the start of a consistent, competitive program.

That was based on a senior led good defensive team that still struggled to score

Rutgers gave USF the game with missed free throws and USF refused to take it

Heath must have pictures of someone in compromising positions.

USF definitely needs shooters, the Bulls didn't make a 3.

It is a curse to bring your son on the team at Memphis. Larry Finch, Rip Scherer, and Tommy West all got canned while their sons were on the roster.

Most University contracts offer free tuition for siblings of HC's in major sports (some for minor sports too).

Having a talented son playing a sport that doesn't have to go on scholarship gives that coach an extra free scholarship to offer up...its a nice advantage to have.

Never has a guy made more $$ of one good run in the NCAA. How many years ago was that Kent State team of his? How many millions in salary and buyouts has he made at Arkansas and USF since then?

I just don't think the guy has the coaching chops to get it done. His teams all look the same to me year in and year out. Even the ones that were ok.
