FIU's Jerica Coley is 5th all-time in NCAA career scoring, and in the company of some greats of women basketball.

Congrats to #HolyColey

And a couple of our former assistant coaches didn't think she was good enough to offer a scholarship to MT 03-banghead

Not saying she would have come to MT over FIU, but we did look at her. Huge mistake.

She's a great student and overall individual as well. So proud of her accomplishments. If only Coach Russo would've surrounded here with a little better talent. Second year in a row as NCAA scoring leader.

Please don't remind me of girls basketball. My high school lost in the quarterfinals today when we were beating the #2 seeded team all the way to the 4th quarter and only scored 3 in the 4th. I know other Herd fans won't believe, but this actually hurts just as much as WVU at home in 2010. I feel so sad for my fellow senior girls as this is just the 2nd time in school history we made it to states in girls basketball(other time was inaugural year in 1994). We took 7 fan buses and honestly I don't know if I'll even be able to get up tomorrow. Girls high school is better then boys high school by the way.

Hell yes it is. Actually my alma mater just won the state championship here in TN and is ranked #1 in girls basketball in all three national polls... 04-rock

I'm so proud of my Cabell Midland Lady Knights. What sucks is my best friend is on the JV team of a team playing right before us and we got there to see the end of it. They lost it as well.

I graduated from Blackman as well; first state championship in any sport!

Well the boys from Blackman are doing pretty well, here's a clip from a little earlier in the HS state tournament...

Don't forget the boys basketball title in 2002 with Mark Patton, Cameron Gill, Ryan Stoler, and all those guys. That was probably way before your time if you're a senior. That was a great basketball team.

That's right. I know we've won 8 cross country championships and 8 track and field championships, a boys basketball championship. I can't remember baseball/softball even though softball was in ESPN 50 in nation 2 years ago and baseball lost in the state title game last year.

Coley scores 34 with 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead FIU over Tulane in quarterfinal win. Jerica is now just 27 points away from 4th place All Time in NCAA women's scoring history. Way to go Panthers!

No offense, but I hope she doesn't get it against us tomorrow... Go BLUE!
