I don't follow the Browns, but could the Browns be in play? I know they have money to spend this offseason.

They are rumored to be but many believe Edelman's success is more due to Brady and the Patriot scheme so there is not a lot of enthusiasm to sign him.

Doesn't fare well for him that the Pats let him walk last year without even a small offer. Then with no deals elsewhere they brought him back. He had an awesome year and got an offer this time, an extremely lowball offer. The Pats have a way of milking guys for everything they're worth and then discarding him. How they treated him contract-wise makes other teams think twice about signing him. He's no more a oroduct if the system and Brady than Welker, and he cashed in with the Broncos. I hope he gets his deal, it only takes one team with a need and $$$ to spend.

Browns are a possibility since Cincy matched the offer for Hawkins and the Browns are still looking for another FA receiver.

Hopefully we will see Edelman at a KSU game at halftime with a large donation check like we saw with Cribbs a few years ago.

Looks like the Browns are making a "strong push" for Edelman. It's too bad Joshua Cribbs isn't there still. It would of been cool to have arguably Kent State's top 2 all-time QBs on the same team, but neither playing QB:

Looks like former Toledo player Hawkins will fill the role for the Browns

Just read Edelman is visiting San Francisco tomorrow.

Re-signed with the Pats today. I hope he was able to pull a decent contract, this was his best and only real chance to cash in with a big payday. I really hope he didn't give them the hometown discount when they keep low balling him and then give that huge payday last year to Amendola.

See that he IS finally getting that nice payday.

Nice payday to get $17 mil over 4 years but just last year they signed Amendola for $31 mil for 5 years.
