Rice's freethrow shooting woes continue early. 1-5 from the charity stripe.

UNT is perfect 2-2 from the line.

18-14 Owls lead at 7:47 1H.

Rice up 20-14 now with 5:21 left in 1H.

Obi misses a few layups there.

Rice up 23-14 with 4:38 left in 1H. Same as first UNT game, we were up big before they came back a bit.

Two Drone layups push the lead to 27-14 with 3:27 left in the half

So far, a good start for the Owls. Hope we can get that free throw average up, though.

UNT 0-5 from 3 point land so far.

Rice shooting better from 3pt range than 2pt:

Up 9 at the half, but would be up 20 if we hit our layups and free throws. We have the crowd advantage as it looks like an Owl home game turnout, although we have more security people.

Let's go Owls. It would be nice to make some noise this year.

Thought it would have been Brent Scott, perhaps?

Good for Obi. He had slowed down last few games.
