Kinda shocked that the AAC played Tulane/Tulsa week one, but kept Cincy with 2 weeks of byes to start the season. Only 1 bye week is brutal. At least it is before ECU.

Yep good job by the league on that one. I'd be shocked if the champ isn't one of those 4, and I'd be almost as shocked if the outcomes of those games don't factor into who wins the league.

This is a nice schedule.

ECU can't be happy about having to travel to face a team that they'll be competing against for the championships who is coming off of a bye and a game against Tulane.

The bye no, but I wouldn't make the false assuption that you are going to beat Tulane at Tulane in a cake walk. Also we have a bye before our game against you as well so no real advantage either way.

I'm going to assume that there is the potential for more games on national TV, because right now I see only 2, and that is what our TV deal was supposed to be all about.

We are going to find out, because that's been my big fear of this entire football deal. Now the basketball deal didn't play out like that the number of games on "national TV platforms" turned out to be games on actual TV. Hopefully that's going to be the case with the football part as well.

Just checked...we have 6 opponents after their bye weeks. AWESOME!

I'm talking more along the lines of conference games. I would expect solid spots for the U and OSU games.

We had that problem last year.

This year, out of 9 FBS games where a team could be in action the week before the Houston game, Texas, UCF or Cincy will be softening up 6 of our foes.

I like 9-3 (7-1) with the way that all sets up.

I am generally optimistic, but this schedule has me worried. We play 6 teams that are coming off an open week. We will face 6 rested team that have us in their sites for two weeks. Moreover, we get penalized by getting the double buy to start the season. The funny thing is our buy later in the season is neutralized due to the fact our opponent is also on a buy week. 6-6
