MyBB Coaching changes
I think we've had threads like this for football and basketball. A way to keep track of coaches who leave, voluntarily or otherwise. And news about hirings could be posted here too.

We can start with IUPUI ...

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketba...odd-howard

Appalachian State ...

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketba...ason-capel

and South Dakota.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketba...ason-james

Meanwhile, Central Arkansas has hired its coach.

And here's a link to a story about what Boca Rocket mentioned in another thread. Mike Jarvis is out at Florida Atlantic.

I hadn't thought about that. I guess they can all be in this thread. But if anybody thinks it makes more sense to have two, we can always start another thread. If we do that, I should be able to edit the title of this thread, indicating it's about men's basketball.

If you don't care, don't read it. Simple enough.

Now, will his son follow? Didnt the NCAA give Zeigler's son a waiver to play anywhere the next year after he got fired?

I think so too. And if that does happen it would get mentioned in this thread, but I won't be surprised if someone starts a thread about that firing alone.

Or two or three threads.

Hard to say. He's not really much of a commodity to begin with. And I don't exactly see his dad getting a HC gig anytime soon. He's more likely to end up on The 700 Club.

None of these openings right now are better than UT. I would worry when a major school has an opening after we have been to the NCAA tourney.

It's funny, Buzz Peterson left App State to go to UNCW and was replaced by Jeff Capel. Today, they both got fired. Also, Buzz was a candidate when Coach K was hired by Toledo.

Teams will definitely want Chauncey Orr. He'll likely get a waiver because his dad got fired. He would start for pretty much any midwest mid-major and would be a decent reserve in the Big Ten.

An experienced shooting guard with two years of eligibility and Orr's potential? Yes, I'm very serious. The day he is let out of his scholarship at BG, many teams will be calling him.

I'm sure he will get a few offers. I disagree about the potential you speak of.
