Quote:Q: The league holds a one-year option to re-up with Memphis as tournament host for 2015. Do you support doing that?

A: Memphis is the front-runner potentially for a second year ... There are a lot of things in Memphis to savor. We just want to make sure we have done our due diligence relative to points of interest elsewhere. It’s always possible we could make a decision coming out of our tournament but I just don’t know yet.

I'm OK with this... Several conferences have static tourney sites or a limited pool. Memphis is centrally located and a good tourist draw.

Have it Memphis every year.

Downtown Cincinnati is also a good place.

^ I agree...men at US Bank Arena...women at 5/3 Arena...hold them the same week to maximize attendance.

I think, as the poster above said, that a "limited pool" should be considered. But I'm sure Memphis fans have no objection to Memphis every year.

I think another school is going to have to show some kind of a pulse (in performance and/or attendance) before they move the women's tournament out of Connecticut.

Doesn't bother me. With Louisville leaving, Memphis has arguably the best fan base in the conference which increases the odds of good attendance. Plus it's a fun city to visit.

It should be in Memphis for the men and UConn for the women

As a destination, Cincy has a lot to offer as well.

Wouldn't mind seeing the tourney in Philly either at some point.

Of course as a Memphis fan, I'm always partial to Memphis despite the positives of other places.

Screw having it in only one school's city on their home floor.

Well, I have no idea what the criteria are.

If it's a city putting up a bid, let everyone go for it.

Right now Memphis is offering the most money. Any other team has the option to bid. Also they are looking for full stadiums for the initial tournaments.

I am visiting Cincy for the first time today and am really blown away by how nice the city looks. Granted it's only one day, but it has been really nice. I have no problem coming here for a tourney.

To late for today, but next time here, check out the gateway district. So nice, my wife and I are thinking of selling in the burbs and moving into downtown. Phenomenal area.

Cincinnati packed a 15,000 capacity arena for the week downtown at US Bank Arena the last time we hosted C-USA in 2004.

There is no reason to lock in on one city. Bush league. Either pick a neutral big city to host full time, or move it among the several qualified cities.

Call your AD and tell him to bid higher. I'm down with a trip to Cincinnati

It should not be up to a school to bid. It should be a rotation. Hell, if UL was going to be in the conference going forward, Tom Jurich would just buy the tourney every year if he was allowed to.

Ok, get your AD to prepare a presentation showing your city will support the tournament
