The only reason Louisville is #5 is because they are killing teams "not named Memphis" lately.

Are they really "that" good? #5 good? I just don't see it.

Dan Wolken @DanWolken
Do Louisville fans even believe they’re a top-5 team? Wow that’s a high ranking. But I guess someone has to be there.

This is not me trying to take anything away from the wins against L'ville, but they are NOT a top five team. I'd put them 15-20.

Venture on over to "The Yum" board on Scout sometime. Some of them will tell ya that they're top 5. After all, they "carried" the league this year and the AAC will be mid-major once they are gone......

or so they say.

Ken Pom thinks they're pretty good.

What's the reaction on the KY board about dropping out of the top 25?

Ken Pom thinks they're pretty good.

That's "why" kenpom thinks they are pretty good though... is because they are basically "killing teams not named Memphis".

Kenpom looks at overall stats of how much you beat people by if I'm not mistaken, NOT just the win.

RPI, BPI, Kenpom, etc... they ALL have teams rated high that wouldn't beat half the teams behind them.
