I think the MAC tournaments deserve separate threads, so I'm starting one for each. Though we should have game threads for the Toledo games. So look for a Bobcats-Rockets game thread later.

Ohio University has lost 13 of their last 14 games. And the nearest they have come to winning any of the thirteen were the two games with Toledo (lost by 2, lost by 4). So it could be a real nail-biter.

I think it depends entirely on which Lady Rockets team shows up w/r to shooting. Will it be the lights out shooting of the EMU game or one of those games with several of those embarrassingly long scoring droughts? If it is the former, it should be no contest but if it is the latter, it could be a nail-biter or it could even be an outright disaster.

I suspect that they want to avoid a losing season and, at this point, that is going to take a heroic effort (winning 2 games in the tournament; 3 wins are needed for a winning season) so I expect that they will come out strong for their last home court game of the campaign and fight tooth and nail---I just hope their shots are falling tonight.

Halftime in Ypsilanti and the Eagles lead the Huskies 38-36.

Media timeout with 11:35 left; Eastern and Northern are tied at 51.

Huskies are up by 5 with 7:08 left.

Final media timeout with 3:55 left. Eastern trails 64-63 but can take the lead from the free throw line when play resumes.

Tied at 68 with 1:02 left in Ypsilanti.

Northern has the ball with 20.1 seconds left. Still tied at 68.

Eagles and Huskies going to overtime. Tied at 68.

Huskies are up by 4 with 3:46 left.

With 1:17 left Northern leads Eastern 77-74.

Northern Illinois will head for Cleveland. Huskies lead by 4 with less than a second left.

Final in Ypsilanti was 81-76 Northern Illinois.

At halftime Western Michigan leads Miami 44-29.

Early in the second half Ball State leads Kent 35-15.

Apparently the game is over in Kalamazoo. Broncos defeated Miami 53-38, unless the live stats are really messed up.

Ball State defeated Kent State 73-38.

The live stats were messed up, as I sort of suspected. According to the ESPN site, Western Michigan leads Miami 77-64 with 55 seconds left.

Western Michigan defeated Miami 82-72.
