Better Chance In The Horizon League
Tough loss against EKU. I see you guys have an overall rpi of 58, and OOC rpi of 48 and an OOC SOS of 31. With a Division I record of 23-9, coming from the OVC, that might not be enough. Of course it all depends on what the Selection Committee comes up with on Sunday the 16th.

Being in a better conference probably would've helped. I see where most Belmont fans, if they had their druthers would take the upgrade to the MVC, but don't sleep on the Horizon League. We think you guys would be a great program for the HL. The two could help one another. Look what it's done for Oakland. Who had even seen Oakland on ESPN except for maybe the Summit League Final? This season, after joining the HL, they were on the ESPN family of networks more than 8 times. More than any other HL team.

With the rep Belmont has put together in a short time, being in the Horizon League would be mutually beneficial. The HL would have a new market to tap into, Belmont could open up new recruiting markets (they already recruit the Chicago area) and being in a higher ranked league (OVC 24, HL 14) helps chances of getting an at-large to the Dance. Getting more than one team to the Dance obviously helps the coffers of all involved.

Most fans of the Horizon League are hoping that there are phone calls and conversations being made and eventually invitations being given out and accepted.
