You're right, we have a roster full of only Ohio kids and if they chartered a flight they would play like a better team than they do right now and also would enable then to snag the kind of players we neglect in recruiting.03-banghead

Didn't they go to the Bahamas this summer?

The game was lost when we forced those 2 3's in transition.

And the roster includes only 4 scholarship Ohio players, two of which transferred from out of state schools yet somehow we can't recruit out of state.01-wingedeagle

Thanks for your contribution once again pissing on a football program that has nothing to do with the poor performances of the b-ball team. Five posts in your one year here, all about football and all long after their season was over.

I wish the administration would look at this team for what it is and always will be. A losing franchise that gets lucky every 30 years. put money in the other programs and move on.

Thanks for your contribution, 9 months of being a member to come up with that as your lone post.03-puke

Worst winter sport season in years. These are my sports. I follow the fall and spring teams but with the exception of one baseball game and one football game a year do not attend. Oh well maybe Ian Miller will make AA in two weeks and the gymnastics team will upset CMU again. Those are my last hopes.

RE: Kent State @ Miami
I'd love nothing more than our Basketball program to be better funded but guys like Justin Greene and Trevor Huffman didn't come here because of our facilities. Players are out there. We might need to work harder to find the good ones that have little enough interest to actually come here but that's how the program was built and if it's going to return, that's how it will need to be done.

In my opinion JUCO/Transfer recruiting has taken several steps backwards since Christian left. It used to be that just about every class had 1 or 2 corner stone players that came that route. Since Christian left I can only think of 5 transfers that were big time players for us (Simpson, Guyton, Porrini, T. Evans and C. Evans). Of those guys only Chris Evans was brought in under Sendy and even he was actually recruited while Geno was here. I know a lot of you don't like relying on JUCOs but in my opinion that is the key to sustaining success because you're getting guys that are close to a finished product and you're potentially getting guys that wouldn't look at Kent out of HS.

Damn polish hammer are you stalking me or just too much time on your hands? Yes I have a hatred for that money pit losing football program that sucks the life out of winning KSU programs. I also don't get on this site. Don't worry I will be on to let every know how bad our football program is and that it is a drain on winning athletic programs
