SMU has zero quality OOC wins, and 1 quality road win, versus UConn.

Essentially, SMU played a very soft schedule and did a nice job of mopping up against bad teams, and was effective against the few good schools you played mainly at home.

I think you guys get in, but it's almost 50-50.

Glad you're not on the committee...according to the committee they have their 68 teams...it's all seeding now.

So it's done.

it is the loss against a terrible USF team that hurts us. I think we will be ok - possible round 1

I'd be surprised if SMU gets a bid. 3 straight losses and Houston was a pretty high RPI loss at the end. RPI in the mid 50's. We better thank our lucky stars if they get in. Winning the Houston game might have been enough.

Does Houston become a must win game for SMU next week in the quarterfinals?

Even if SMU gets in...their seeding obviously dropped after their loss to #157 Houston.

Thank goodness the seeding dropped. Nothing is worse than an 8/9 seed

How about no seed?

It was pretty darn clear that SMU was on the bubble...(#295 non-conf SOS, lost their last 3 games...including the last one to a team ranked #157 in RPI).

Sorry it happened...but its almost funny to read comments like the above now for those that thought it would be impossible.

I did not account for the AAC as a whole getting screwed. Thought UL would be a 3, Cincy would be a 4, UConn a 5, and Memphis a 7

I'm not happy to be right. I was worried because I wanted SMU to get in.
