who cares guys...it's March. You get who you get. For the record Memphis is a great matchup for us. I know we beat them twice already but so what.

Hmmm...this is sorta, kinda reminding me of another year but instead of visions of Nicky Van Exel dancing in the Tiger fans heads this time around its SK....interesting.

Loving it. Didn't want to play USF and not scared of the potential Memphis matchup at all.

We didn't do too bad against Memphis on their floor earlier this year. And if you're worried about having to beat them 3 times in a row, didn't we beat them 4 times in a season in Conf. USA days?

Great Midwest conference and it was 1992, our final four year.

The 3 times in a row thing is a logical fallacy. We don't have to beat them 3 times in a row anymore. Just once, if they beat UConn.

And I agree that Memphis is a very good match up for us. But road games are tough. Home court advantage really matters in college basketball. We would be slight underdogs should that match up happen.

We'll be ready either way. But the 2 seed to me is clearly preferable. Earlier games for more rest time and avoiding the Memphis side of the bracket.

I like match-up with Memphis better than SMU.

I just want a rematch with Pitino and the boys...they were a rainbow jumper prayer at the buzzer away from being swept.

Too bad the #1 seed doesn't get the early game on Friday, instead of possibly having to play until near midnight.

Given that early games seem to kill us anyway, I'm fine with it.

Count me in on wanting to face Memphis rather than SMU. You beat the Bearcats with defense, not offense and SMU took us to the woodshed last time. Would also rather play Memphis than UConn after that debacle in Hartford.

yes we did. The Final Four season. We swept Memphis twice in the regular season and then beat them in the Conference USA tourney and then beat them in the Elite 8 game. Memphis had Penny Hardaway back then. Was a great accomplishment that season.

we lost at SMU's home in that loss. Their fans were just nuts that night. We beat them at UC and don't mind playing them on a neutral court the next time.
hopefully we won't have the same refs that they hired down at their place.

You would have to imagine Memphis fans are saying 0h f&$k! To see us on their side of the bracket. I know I would be given the history and if the tables were turned.

Don't care either way. Memphis and UConn are probably better wins for NCAA seedings and not as bad a loss if that were to happen. We can beat any of them and on the plus side, we hopefully get a little easier game facing a team coming off a game the day before while Memphis and UConn may be in for a war that could make it tougher for them to turn around and face us.

The officiating was putrid. I think we can hold our own against SMU, they blew out Memphis at Moody then got beat at fedex today.
