RE: A lot of us wanted it
Shabazz Napier only scored 9 points against Louisville. Guess he's saving them up for us.
Day um!

I have heard that they are busy practicing their free throws.

UCONN scares me....maybe it's because we barely beat them at home and lost to them on the road....our games have gone back and forth over the past few years.

Agree.

Would have preferred SMU- because a singular great player- and UCT has several good layers- can occasionally win a game alone.

I really like our chances though.

We got this as long as they don't bring those referees from last time. Sheesh!

That game in CT is still the outlier- the one game where I felt Memphis should have won but for the referee game management.

Refereeing was suspect but Tigers had a 3 point lead with under a minute to go...only needing one defensive rebound to go to the line and begin salting the game away.

I agree. That one this year, and Louisville at our place last year. Those are the only two games where I TRULY feel like officiating cost us a game.

Correct

Also correct.

Short story. UConn is damn good, but we win this on our home floor.

I wanted to play them. I want to play Cincy too. I like competition, I say to them, bring it. Heck, we are on our home floor. Lets lace em up. 02-13-banana

Blame the team for not making one play when the refs affected 20 other plays that would have changed the outcome drastically. That makes perfect sense.

Be careful what you wish for. Both UCONN and Cincinnati swept us and both would be very confident. It's tournament time and ALL teams want the easiest path to increase their odds of advancing.

1 loss and you go home.

I say we rough him up a bit. If they gonna call a foul every time you touch him, make it count.

I don't like that match up at all.

Maybe you are right. However, I like our chances. I don't see either one of them beating us 3 times. I cant wait.

it does make perfect sense. the team has at least some control over how it plays, but it can't control what the refs do.
