The stats mattered when idiots like you said Pastner cannot beat a top 25 team.

First off being called an idiot by an adult on a chat board is kinda ridiculous. But I never said he couldn't COACH a team that would be a ranked team. I however said he'd never win a NC. Thanks for wakin me up before the game.

You are right. We should get no credit for beating 3 insignificant top 25 teams because we lost to Cincinnati twice. Beating 4 ranked teams including 2 top 10 teams is also insignificant because we do that every year. We could have gone 16-0 in CUSA this year and 1-2 against the top 25 teams and many fans would be happier.

16-0 CUSA and had the same exact seed. Do you people really think playing this many good teams makes us better?? Playing a 7 man rotation is goin to have us winded before the seasons end. Look at the elite 8 teams and our national runner up team. CUSA played good teams outside the conf. Not winded. Pastner finally getting wins over top 25 teams is insignificant homie.

You're right, it was only significant last year.

Stats are useful if a team needs to play to their strengths and improve their deficiencies. Rankings can also help or hurt a team’s national perception.

In the end teams are judged by what they achieve in the post season (if they get there). That’s the only stat that really matters. It’s not how you start, it’s how and where you finish.

My 2 cents.

Somewhere I seem to remember Coach Pastner being unable to beat top 25 teams. Somebody better double check these facts, there has to be some kind of error in there somewhere.

Let's just hope we aren't finished beating top 25 teams this season.
