The Creighton/ASU series has been moved to a Neutral venue about an hour away in Millington, TN, and will be played Saturday through Monday, because our field is unplayable after the 4 inches of sleet Sunday.

Cajuns beat a starter with a .98 ERA. I take a one run win in the 9th from a team like that.

Agreed. I was just frustrated with that last run they scored.

What's their pitching staff look like for the weekend?

TXST gets a late start (8PM CT) @ Washington State. Down 5-0 they battled back with a 5 run 5th. Now @ 6-6 btm of the 7 with Washington threatening again.

UALR had a 1-0 lead with a runner on 2nd for Ole Miss and 2 outs in the 9th. Batter hits a weak fly to left center. Both the left and center fielder call for the ball, and both back off to let the other catch it. Ball falls harmlessly to the ground tying the game.

Ole Miss wins 2-1 in 10 innings.

That sounds like something the Monrovians would do.

BTW, you'd think they'd coach for such a thing. Just sayin'.

Cats lose 8-6. Had their chances. However, good game vs a Pac 12 team for us being, as they said pre-season, young.

UALR baseball has had some heartbreaking losses before. This is the worst I've ever seen. Literally a pop fly to the outfield. If I was an Ole Miss fan I would have shut the computer, before the ball came down, assuming the game was over. I was just waiting for the ball to land softly in the player's glove and was already starting to celebrate. Than disaster!

Carson Baranik pitched a complete game shutout and held Texas Southern to 2 hits on only 81 pitches. Cajuns win easily 13-0 to take the series.
Jace Conrad hit a Grand Slam in the 6th giving the Cajuns a 8-0 lead
