we dont help on d. it's how we're coached. we even think about driving, 3 cincinnati guys are sagging off their man to cut off penetrations and swipe the ball. We just sit back and watch as they go straight to the hole. We feed it into the post to austin, one guy comes over to help and another drops from the perimeter to swipe at the ball for a steal. Their forwards can back it all the way down until they're 2 feet from the basket and we'll just watch and leave our guy on an island because Pastner is terrified to give up a semi-open 3. So we give them a layup instead.
Christ it's painful to watch. Our D was just as bad last year, it was just that DJ would swat or alter 5-6 of these give up layups to save us
This is coaching and defensive philosophy
I think I'll have to agree.

Stupid commnet. They played zone, box and 1 the first have. Don't make the lack of ability to compete by a senior group of guards an issue of "adjustments". "Adjustments" are complete BS.
We played a total of about 3min. Zone and box and 1 the whole game.. You don't give up 32 layups or 2 footers playing Zone..95% of there layups were against the man to man or transition buckets.. Adjustments don't mean anything now that's a BS (crazy comment)!! But yes our guards can't guard..

I gave pre and post game up a long time ago. Wolo is terrible and heck, I change the TV or radio station any time Pastner comes on b/c I cant stand to hear his voice.

Yeah this is Joe's fault for sure.
One teams star has 31+ points.
The other teams star has 15. 6 of which have occurred after the game was decided.
You figure it out.
Joe is a serviceable upper division one point guard, nothing more.
I've said that since I saw him in high school.
Me too

RE: ***Official Memphis @ Cincinnati Game Thread***
Who in their right mind thought Memphis would sweep the last 3 games? I have never seen so many fair weather fans until i started coming to this site. Every time Memphis wins it was because the other team really wasn't as good as everyone thought, and every time the team loses its because Pastner sucks and the players are horrible. Welcome to a great conference you are going to lose, if i'm not mistaking didn't Duke, Kansas, insert lots more top 25 teams here lose in the last couple weeks. It happens, it sucks but it happens. And for the fans wanting Bruce Pearl are you really wanting to trade a coach that wins 70-75% of the games he coaches for a future sanction? Just asking how that makes sense. Its one thing to point out failures such as no energy on defense at all, shots weren't even hitting the rim, Shaq couldn't hold on tho the ball to save his life etc... but to dog the team as if you could coach or play close to the level they are is pathetic.
