I saw that on the 5pm news last night.
Then they cut to commercial--the second commercial was one for Victory University.

Apparently the guy in charge of Marketing had just put up new billboards and tv commercials. He even proudly tweeted about them a few days ago. According to him, nobody ever mentioned even the possibility of the school closing. Says they even had a meeting Wednesday night where the they talked about the budget etc. and even then closing wasn't mentioned.

They suggested in the news broadcast that money troubles were well known for about a year now.
very few students. I think they made a new puch for enrollment but it never panned out.

Guess UofM is getting another new satellite campus?

The baseball team needs $7,000 to finish out their season. The coach was on with Wolo this morning.

Gifts are tax-deductible and can be made payable to Victory University Baseball.

One of the players said $20,000 last night on the news. 7K should be much more doable.

They had about 1600 students, but spent more on marketing than they did instruction. Victory was on it's way to losing SACS accreditation in June.

I usually get a slimy feeling from for-profit schools. The owner of Victory has a checked past of booms and busts. They even got in trouble for trying sign up homeless people in California.
