Perfect Game dropped us 5 spots to #17.

UT reentered at 19, SHSU enters at 25.

I think Kendall is being generous with that ranking.

And #18 in the Writers poll (down from #10). In lother words, essentially back to where we started the season in all the polls. Having said that, there's a lot of deserving teams knocking on the doors of the Top 25; so if we hope to stay where we are, our offense better figure out what ailes it, and quick!

The pitching has been superb, and the defense as well (save for one or two hiccups). And though I think we need Jordan back by the stretch run if we are to have any chance of making a serious Omaha run, I do think we have the pitching depth and talent to carry us through for the next 4 - 6 weeks anyway.

BTW, anyone here any status update on Evan Rutter? At least that injury did not appear arm-related, so one would hope he won't be out that long.

He stained his oblique pitching. He sure pitched well in Purdue game #2.

BTW, I stain my oblique getting out of bed in the morning. Sure is hell getting old.

Original report said oblique strain, out 2 weeks. Hard to know if 2 weeks will be enough.
