Ding dong, the 10-second-rule witch is dead.

Quote:After three weeks of controversy, the NCAA Football Rules Committee has withdrawn a rule proposal that would have slowed down hurry-up offenses.

In a teleconference Wednesday afternoon, the 12-member committee chose not to send the proposal forward to the Playing Rules Oversight Panel, according to a person with knowledge of the meeting. The person spoke on the condition of the anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

Fixed.

lol. guess Saban will now actually have to try to figure out how to stop offense rather than being a cry baby about it.

You could also add Bert Bielema to the list

Perhaps their opponents could turn over a list of plays to be preapproved, thereby assuring player safety.

It won't pass next year either. Evidence will show that there are actually fewer serious injuries with fast paced offenses. The only injuries that are increased are cramps, which really don't qualify as injuries.

Now if they could just do something about the flopping.

I agree here. If a guy goes down with a cramp, real or faked, he should sit out for 5 minutes of game time to rest and re-hydrate. Anyone not properly re-hydrating should be suspended for the rest of the game, and the entire next game, for faking the injury. That would cut that stuff down considerably.

RE: Ding dong, the 10-second-rule witch is dead.
this fiasco has done the impossible ==> made me lose even more respect for nickie boy....

i had so little respect for him to begin with but when he tried to use that smoking analogy and the BS "the evidence doesn't support my claim but I am still correct" attitude he sunk to an all time low.

I don't mean to get political here but he reminded me of a politician who knew he was totally wrong on an issue but didn't want to own up to it and continued to push BS pointers in a debate.
