I think 4 or 5 wins is not out of the realm of possibility.

This is the first time I've been excited for a season of UAB football since our beloved Watson defeated yet another SEC team in Mississippi State and took us to a bowl game in 2004.

FINALLY, I think we have a winner at coach. Bill Clark, you are MOST welcome to Birmingham. I can't wait to head to Legion Field for the home opener with a slice of pizza in one hand, an ice cold beer in the other, and a flask of some good whiskey in my back pocket.

So, what say you? What's our record?

Essentially everyone IS beatable outside of Miss state and ark. If we can win 3-4 of those and show significant strides on D, ill be happy.

However I'm hoping for a bowl game!!!

It's UAB's turn for a bowl game. 10 years of misery is enough.....

Not saying I think it will happen or that I'm expecting it to happen, but if bill Clark could go to a bowl game in his first season at UAB, he might bump bill belicheck (sp?) off of the patriots job.

When I was in undergrad, I remember always passing around a flask in the student section after a big play or a touchdown. Good times.

I got 2 very close wins over Alabama A&M and FIU. Make FIU our homecoming game.

I'm surprised Memphis (or anyone else for that matter), didn't pick up on my basketball reference (since we're in basketball season) and especially UK basketball at that (as they were purported to have made 40-0 basketball t-shirts at the beginning of this season)... Hence the "just keeping' it unreal" statement.

In the spirit that is based on UAB not yet having even begun its spring practice, I am going to predict that one top flight QB will turn up and take over, that the defense will show up and special teams will continue to hold up their part. I can see us winning 4 games because of our new offense, another 3 games because we won't allow too many points and two more just because we take someone by surprise. I see us in a southeastern regional bowl game and we win it.

I'm ready for basketball season to end and football to start back. I'll predict 4-8. Montgomery...try some good ole jack or jim beam.

6-6.............this staff knows their stuff, and will not be outworked. I know 6 wins is optimistic, because I really don't know if we'll have the players to do that. All lot depends on how good those 14 JUCO's are.

If we beat Troy 6-6. If not 4-8 or 3-9.

Will have to make better prediction after spring game but until then 14-0 w/ NC win over our best buddies down the road to go 2-0 over Saban
