MyBB Which AAC schools wear Nike uniforms?
OwlFan's post reminded me of the 2017 Phil Knight tournament, which had 16 schools commit prior to the recent realignment. It's supposed to be 2 schools max from a conference (so there's 2 separate tournaments where conference mates won't play each other).

The field that committed was:

North Carolina (ACC)
Duke (ACC)
Kentucky (SEC)
Florida (SEC)
Michigan St (B1G)
Ohio St (B1G)
UCONN (Big East)
Georgetown (Big East)
Xavier (A-10)
Butler (A-10)
Texas (Big 12)
Oklahoma (Big 12)
Stanford (PAC)
Oregon (PAC)
Gonzaga (WCC)
Portland (WCC)

Assuming no other conference movement...

Georgetown, Xavier, and Butler would have to be cut down to 2 since they're all now in the new Big East. I'm hoping UCONN doesn't get dropped because of this and that the AAC gets 2 teams instead of the A-10. I would say 2 teams from the AAC and 2 from the A-10 instead of the WCC, but I see how Oregon-based Nike wants that Northwest representation.

Who would be candidates from the AAC? (Which AAC members wear Nike?)

I know UCF basketball does. I would assume for most, if not ALL sports, that we do.

We do not. We have been treated very well by adidas as one of their feature schools along with Michigan, Louisville, ND (past), Kansas, Tennessee, and UCLA.

Although I have to admit, nothing will ever top the old UC jumpman unis. Those were legendary.

I'd be willing to bet they are the replacement for the extra BE school if it comes down to that.

That is a very stacked field for both tournaments, so I have to ask, other than the fact they wear Nike how did Portland make the cut?

OP forgot
• Duke (ACC)
• North Carolina (ACC)

If these are firm commitments, wouldn't it be hard to drop Xavier/Butler for Memphis? Memphis makes sense as THE second team from the AAC.

Thanks..my bad. Totally forgot those 2. They would have to drop one of Xavier, Butler, or Georgetown though. I think everything was verbal so nothing was really finalized. It will be interesting how they decide who is in and out. With Stevens gone at Butler, I don't see them having as much success so I think they would stick with Xavier and Georgetown.

They wanted 2 teams per conference so after Gonzaga in the WCC, I think they tried to grab another Pacific Northwest school.
