OVC Tournament
Here we gooooooooooooo

Number One Seed overall in the OVC Tournament. The most likely scenario is us running into Murray for a classic rematch on Saturday Night in the OVC Finals. Before we get there though, we are either likely going to run into a Tennessee Tech or Morehead State first. That Tennessee Tech team who is HOT and has played us VERY well, including beating us once. They are very good defensively with very good size. They gave us fits both games

Morehead, we have beaten twice, but the second time AT MOREHEAD was a miracle win. They have huge size, but I really believe they have done a poor job both times playing us by not using that strength well enough against our smaller team.

Honestly, I rather play Tennessee Tech. I know they have beaten us once, but I just find it hard to believe they have enough to get to the finals. Morehead scares me as they do have some good big players as well as some shooters. Going to be a fun weekend! I hope everyone is coming to the games. You can drink in there, so it is a blast.

RE: OVC Tournament
Really this time of year, every other team scares me! But, it should be fun - and if nothing goes wrong Friday night, should be another great championship game on Saturday - hoping it will have the same outcome as last year!

Also wanted to congratulate the women on the #2 seed - that should be fun too :)

Fan, you basically took the words right out of my mouth. Anything can happen this time of year. What makes me feel better is knowing that no matter what happens this week, we are at least in the NIT.

I remember when we were in the ASun, ETSUs coach, Murray Bartow, would say that the regular season didn't matter. It was all the tournament. Well, the regular season does matter for us. We get a double bye and we're guaranteed to play after this week.

RE: OVC Tournament
I agree Clemson, I'd rather play Tech than Morehead, but I will be uneasy come game time no matter who we play (even if its SIUE). I wish we had an RPI similar to last year, so we would have a shot at an at large bid. Our losses against SDSU and Denver were a real drag on our RPI. However, I too draw a little comfort knowing we will at least go to the NIT if we lose...although I really want an automatic bid to the NCAA tourney with a chance to win our first game. I'm ready to get over the hump. Tired of hearing we choke in the big tourney (Murray Fans). We have only been D1 for 17 years and have been to 6 tourneys (in the last 8 years). I am confident that there is NO other D1 basketball program with that kind of success that early in a programs life. If we were to go this year, we would have the same number of appearances as EKU, who has competed in D1 basketball since at least 1948, when they joined the OVC.

Re: OVC Tournament
It's down to Tech or Morehead for our first opponent.
