You get to sit on the side NIU is on and that sun on your face is more often a positive than a negative.

What if you put chairbacks in the first 10 rows to start?

First things first...lets sell out the premium seats in the West stands first before taking away the great seats from the students.

As for the East seats first we MUST get the new/young alum group to keep coming back to Huskie Stadium...We should sell any young alum who is a member of the alum association (currently the first year after graduation is free and I am pushing on making that 4 years) for $10ea per game with a maximum of 2 tickets at this price only for the East side. ALSO include parking vouchers in the Convo Lot. Basically you want to make this as cheap as possible for the newer grads so they keep coming back when they are making enough money to be donors.

I follow your point, I just think there's huge value there that should be taken advantage of.

After looking at the Seating, the way the stairs are you could do it with Section M which is really between the "45's". That's Prime Real Estate in most other Stadiums (even in the MAC). And it still leaves excellent seating from the 30-45 on each side for GA.

There is nothing to take advantage of until the West prime seats at least sell out. We don't even sell out the benchback seats.

Taking prime seats away from the students would be stiring up a hornets nest if the West stands prime seats were not selling out first.

If i was doing something for NIU based on current stadium set up...

I would make chairback Huskie Level and above($500) for 6 seats total, with $50/seat fee
I would make benchback Cardinal and Black and above ($300) for 4 seats total, with no additional fee

Section 2 seating would be
Spirit Level with 8 seats total and no additional seat fee

Except for seats in the endzone, and above the benchback line would not require Spirit level donation

Section 3 would not require a donation

The reason I think this works is because for people who show up on game day for cheap tickets would be regulated to Section 3.

I like this idea..with increase in price each year..

So how about something like this for AA members.

Free AA membership for 1 year after college with $10/game ticket price/max 2

year 2 AA membership($40?) and still $10/game/ticket max 2

year 3 AA membership and $15/game/ticket max 2

year 4 AA membership and $20/game/ticket max 2

year 5 AA membership and 20% of season tickets

year 6 AA membership and they join the rest of us...

I'm surprised we haven't heard any details yet about signing up for the X's and O's clinic.

Have you heard of any chairback ticket holders being displaced as a result of these changes?

Not displaced but more like openings as a result of a new premium section are likely.

Either way if anyone wants to get chair backs I would call up today to get on the list.

If enough people get on the Chairback list then maybe athletics will swap out the benchback seats which seem to always be 50% open, for more chairbacks.
