RE: Karma
Great article! I especially liked this little nugget:

"Calipari said that this year's Kentucky team was the most scrutinized team in sports history. He said that about a college basketball team in February, evidently forgetting that no one outside the state of Kentucky cares about his college basketball team until March." 03-lmfao

RE: Karma
That's not the way Karma works but that's a discussion for another day (and for the Political/Religious forum).

Couldn't have happened to a better guy though.

John Calipari isn't reacting well to that pressure right now either. For the first time since he got to Kentucky, he looks like a man who would prefer to be anywhere else. And here's the scary thing for Kentucky fans, as good as your program is, who's the guaranteed winner out there for you to hire if Cal jumped to the pros? Remember, programs don't matter as much as coaches do in the modern era. Or do I need to remind you guys about Billy Gillispie? If Cal bolted, finally overwhelmed by the job, who would Kentucky hire?

KY fans do NOT want to hear the statement in bold...

I'm enjoying it all, but these media hacks are acting premature about his demise. If there's a coach that can overcome adversity it's Cal.

I'm loving this. Calipari looks like he is LOST. The pressure is getting to him. He got his "dream job", got to the mountain top, and it's not all it was cracked up to be. That seems to be the case so often in life.

If Memphis fans/media don't pipe down on Pastner, eventually he will be this way and want out as well. Just wait.

I look at Larry Brown. That man has had it all... college and NBA titles, fame, money, records, etc... but yet he took a coaching job at SMU just because he wanted to "get back to basics and teach" a group of kids the game of basketball. He has worked miracles for the SMU program it seems. But with success comes fame and accolades. I'm not sure Larry Brown wants it at this point... will be interesting to see going forward.

Travis is Nashville's foremost apologist and cheerleader for Bruce Pearl. If Calipari leaves KY and UT-K rejects Pearl, expect Travis to push Pearl to the Wildcats.

We are in a way lucky. This same thing would have occurred here if we were in a tougher conference at the time. We just overpowered everyone with our talent level. The cracks would have started showing up here also if we had some competition in CUSA.

It's like Saban's wife complaining about being at Alabama. The KY fan base is hard to bear. A great of pressure to be perfect.
