It seems outside of the top 5, Houston needs to keep winning and have a shot at post season or we may end up 5 NCAA and 0 anything else. Not sure if I have ever seen that from a major league.

Unless Houston wins out and makes it to the tournament finals they are looking at the CBI, if they accept a bid.

Making the NIT isn't easy due to the automatic bids from the mid-major and low-major conferences. 6 to 12 spots a year are usually taken from those leagues.

Temple and UCF (without Donnie Jones) are going down to the wire

UCF has two free throws and will likely send this one to OT if they make both

Good win for Temple. UCF played hard all night and battled through adversity, not having Donnie Jones or Isaiah Sykes

Houston now 16-14 (8-9 AAC) with at least two games remaining, one of them pretty winnable. (RPI of 142)

The flip side of having of having 5 NCAA locks is how bad the bottom half is. Example A is a team of Houston's caliber likely finishing 9-9. Dickey should take the coaches from the bottom 4 out for a nice steak dinner in Memphis next week.

Houston sports wins over UConn and Memphis...a SMU/Houston match-up in Memphis could be very entertaining.
