There is a big gap between the top 10 teams in women's basketball and everyone else, and in this conference the Grand Canyon separates the husky's from the rest. I really can't imagine a scenario where they could possibly lose a conference game in the near future.

Women's basketball in general tends to be boring bc of the lack of parity and competitiveness. UCONN regularly destroys teams in the top 10. Other programs have to step up and level the field to improve perception. ECU may very well be the second best team in the AAC next year and still lose to UCONN by 30. It is what it is what it has always been.

I quite enjoy watching UCONN stomp all over the competition. 02-13-banana COGS 02-13-banana

There is a mindset of the players, coaches, and fans, where anything less than a double digit win (including against other ranked opponents) is a disappointment. Also, making a Final Four, but then not winning the National Championship is an underachievement for the season. That's pretty crazy.

I do enjoy it. I'm not a women's hoops fan per se, but I love the UConn women's teams. It is fun to watch when they do face a competitive opponent though. Beating ND in last year's BE tourney after being swept during the season was great.

They lost the 2 regular season and the BE tourney. UCONN got their payback when it mattered most...in the NCAA tourney. 4th time was the charm! 04-rock

Yeah, that's right. Thought we got them in the BE but we did lose to them 3 times before finally beating them. It was a great win. And a fun series, very frustrating the first 3 games though.

Many, many heartfelt congratulations to the UConn women's program and all UConn fans.

Reality though, says that all successful programs will eventually find struggles in the process.

UCLA's men's basketball team's dominance ended.
The Roman Empire eventually fell.
There are scores/hundreds of other dominant programs/armies/nations/etc that have fallen from dominance.......and so will UConn's women's basketball end some day. I'm 100% confident that it will happen. It's possible that UConn could leave the AAC before the women's program falls but it will fall.
"Never" and "always" are long, long times.

As long as Geno Auriemma is at the helm, UConn will maintain dominance. He is a Hall of Famer and one of the best coaches in the game. In Geno we trust!!!!! 04-bow

It will be like Florida State joining the ACC in football. They will cruise through a couple of seasons and then lay an egg on the road. Didn't UVA finally beat them? However, there is no Clemson to perennially challenge them. It will be ugly as long as Geno is there.
