We beat Tulane which puts US as the outright CHAMPION and #1 seed!

But if that doesn't happen, based on the probable wins this week and the chance of there being a 3 or 4 way tie...what seeding would give us (USM) the easiest path to the CUSA championship game???

MT will be ready to play against UAB. Should have several busloads of fans down there.

I'm pretty sure N Texas won't win. The only reason today's game was close was because we rested Rashad Smith the entire game. I think we'll have some fans go down to Dallas for the game

Should be the same situation for USM at Tulane

If Tulsa is resting someone and has to go to OT for the W then you need to talk with your coaching staff

I'll dance a jig if UAB wins on Thursday. Not quite sure what a jig exactly is, but I'll plug it into the Google machine.

Without C.J., it will be an even more difficult task for UAB to win this game.

you're tempting the gods to punish us with a TTT moment; middle and tulsa lose, setting the stage for us, but we lose to tulane.

You're going to need a lot more than that. Chances that USM ends up with an "outright" title are less than 1/2 of one percent.

You forgot about Rice having to beat La Tech. And before you bring up the head to head outright means no one has identical records and thus no sharing of the title.

So if USM and La Tech end the season with identical conference records...our head to head matchup earlier this season (in which we won) would have absolutely no bearance in determining the tie-breaker?? That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard.

USM's win over Tech only comes into play when it comes to seeding otherwise the same record in conference will mean a shared regular season title

Unless La Tech also loses, we wouldn't have an outright championship.

However, we don't need an MTSU loss for the #1 seed. We need a Tulsa loss and a UTEP win. And, of course, a win over Tulane.

I wouldnt be shocked if we lost to UNT.

I don't think we will but I wouldnt be shocked after the way we played on Sunday.

Ive said this a few times but this season has been one of the best conference seasons I can remember. Next year should be a lot of fun in CUSA hoops. This is going to be a really good hoops league going forward. I love how everyone is scrappy and anything can happen. Watching some of those really good Memphis teams roll over everyone was kindof depressing.
