Streaming options for AppleTV
There was some talk during the Stanford series of the photon browser as a way to stream media to iOS devices. There exists an air parrot program that allows you to stream your windows desktop to AirPlay devices, but I found the video to be very choppy.

I seem to recall someone saying that Owlvision now supported iOS devices, but I've never gotten that to work. My best results have been to connect a laptop to the HDMI connection on the TV, but that's not very convenient.

In my case, the best solution for internet streaming would be to stream to an iPad and then use airplay to watch on the TV. Can anyone suggest the best way to do this? Would roku or some other device (ChromeTV?) provide a better solution?

I am also interested. I use photon browser on an iPad to watch OwlVision.

I guess for me, photon is not an option ... we have two iPad-1s ... following the links for mirroring mode, it looks like it requires an iPad 2, minimum.
