Exclamation Spring practice will be held at the Murph?
I have recently been getting e-mails about "The spring practice" being on March 2nd at the practice facility? What happened to the Liberty Bowl? And I thought it was supposed to be a real game this year?

Quote:Hello,
I would like to update everyone on the schedule and times for the Spring Practice and Feed the Team.
I would like to thank everyone that has responded to the Feed the Team event offering their help and to those bringing a side or dessert.

I know the players will appreciate it.
Football Spring practice -

Sunday, March 2nd 3:45 to 5:45pm.
Park Ave South Campus, Billy J Murphy Athletic complex on E. Getwell Loop St.
Here is a map link -

Bold and size added by me to point out the meaning I inferred.

OP has been "enhanced" to show why I am posting on this subject. They should be more clear in their message.

RE: Spring practice will be held at the Murph?
Didn't they have one "open to the public" practice session last year, and it was the first practice? That is my assumption of what this e-mail is about.

Spring practice does start on March 2nd. That's practice.
When have the Tigers ever practiced at the Liberty Bowl. I think they have had to practice at CBHS a couple of times due to drainage issues.
You may be think of the Spring GAME, maybe....

The "open to the Public" may be another practice.
This practice is open to active Highland Hundred members with a Feed the Team event afterwards.

That is exactly what I'm thinking about. THAT WAS THE POINT. The e-mail makes it sound like THIS is the big event. It should go over the fact that this is the beginning of the spring practice season, and will culminate in a Blue-Grey game at the end of the spring practice season.

Some people would call the spring game a "practice".

"I don't mean me.... but a lot of people...."

Did you get the first email from me? It was dated Fri 2/21/2014 4:26 PM.
The first sentence goes -
As the start of spring football practice approaches, Memphis Football and the Highland Hundred would like to invite all Highland Hundred Members to the first spring practice and Feed the Team Event.

I will try and be more specific with the Spring game. You should see something from me shortly on this.

The Feed the Team event went fairly well considering practice got shortened and called due to lightening.

Got to love mother nature.

Yes, I did get the first e-mail. Sorry, I guess I just gave it a cursory read, didn't notice the exact date, and was wondering what happened to the big plans about an actual game this year (which I have always been a HUGE proponent of) with splitting up the team, and score board, announcer, and all of that jazz.

Yeah, that weather and you guys were on my mind this afternoon.

I really would like to be more involved with "feed the Tigers" in a couple of years after I finish my Masters, but I just don't know if it would be more trouble for the players than it would be worth. We live in Somerville.

hate that I wasn't able to attend the event due to the weather. But i think it was publicized (for the HH membership) very well and very thoroughly.

We are making plans to do something for the Spring Game which is the evening of April 11 or 12th. Don't hold me to those dates..... We'll hopefully have something solid shortly which we will communicate to the HH membership.
I do know this.... I will be tailgating.......04-cheers

With the rain and cold that moved in most everyone stayed inside and waited on the players.
Then practice got call short due to lightening so the wait wasn't to long.
I do know this 100+ football players can pack the food away.......04-jawdrop
