Tuesday's MAC games
Four games to keep an eye on Tuesday in the Mid American Conference:

Miami (7-9) @ Kent State (7-9)
The Flashes best bet is on themselves. There are no guarantees in this conference but both KSU and Miami have tough tasks on tap after this one. Kent State heads to Akron on Friday and Miami hosts Ohio University on Saturday. Getting one game ahead of Miami heading into the weekend is huge for the Golden Flashes.

Ohio (9-7) @ Bowling Green (6-10)
I don't know how all of the tie breakers work should OU finish with the same record as Kent State. But pushing BG to 6-11 is probably the bigger deal for KSU. The Falcons play at Buffalo on Saturday in what hopefully will be a meaningless game for Kent's sake.

Northern Illinois (7-9) @ Western Michigan (12-4)
Again, not sure about tie - breakers but this is likely NIU's last shot at a loss. The Huskies host Ball State on Saturday and WMU is no worry of KSU's.

Eastern Michigan (9-7) @ Ball State (2-14)
EMU pounded the Golden Flashes, so I figure they have any possible tie breaker. But, should Eastern Michigan finish with two wins (and they have Toledo on Saturday) and Akron finish with two L's, the Zips would be playing on Monday instead of buying into the quarters. That would be nice.

RE: Tuesday's MAC games
If we win Tuesday, we finish ahead of Miami because we will be 2-0 vs. them. Northern has the tiebreaker on us because they beat Toledo.

Basically, we are battling for a home game on 3/10. We need 4 teams to finish behind us. Ball St. and CMU already are done. If we beat Miami, that will put them behind us and make BG's only chance of catching us beating OU and Buffalo.

Odds are, if we win Tuesday, we will be home next Monday. The above doesn't even factor in that NIU could finish behind us as well.

Tuesday vs. Miami. Important game. The team needs to build momentum going into next week.

Well maybe I will see Kent play at Quicken Loan. We seem to have a reasonable chance after yesterday.

Hope you are correct, but if there is one thing that this team as been consistent with, it is its inconsistency. Who knows which team will show up?

Unless Miami shows up inconsistently good and we show up inconsistently bad.

If Ohio and Kent end with the same record, I think it would come down to the top down tie breaker and go to Ohio. Ohio is 2-4 against the top 3 (1-1 against UT and UB, 0-2 vs WMU) and Kent is 0-4.

You can tell it's getting late in the season.

Sorry I was late getting to this. I will go ahead and predict 2 more consecutive losses and the end to the season.
