The Cajun softball (13-5-1) beat Ohio (12-5) at the Gulfport College Classic 3-1. After a 1-1 tie after 4 innings, Elkins hit a 2RBI homerun in the bottom of the 5th scoring Fernandez to give the Cajuns a 3-1 lead and win. The Cajuns are now 4-0 in the Classic. The Cajuns close out the Classic tomorrow at 10:30am against Memphis.

I surely wasn't bragging about beating Ohio, but just giving information about that game and every game in the tournament. I wasn't aware that you couldn't give information about a game, but only when we upset someone, BTW, 2 of Ohio's 5 losses were to USA and the Cajuns. Excuse me for sharing info about Cajun softball games. 1

If every team did a thread for every game of the season, this board would get cluttered way worse than it is now.

Actually I thought it didn't post the first time since I wasn't aware in was merged into the softball thread. That is the reason I reposted.

I believe both comments were just a small jab, if you will, that the thread was repetitive; after the combined thread had been made and the original result was repeated. Folks just go about things in a different way.

It was not a jab on the Cajuns. However, there are 9 softball teams and each plays 3 games per weekend. In tournaments some can play 5 or 6; as happened this weekend. That's a lot of threads if every result is posted on its own. Thus, the merged, singular thread was created.

Right now we are in OOC and the number of games each weekend would be in the neighborhood of 27 if we continued on this course. In the following weeks it is suggested we make 1 thread for all results; as is being done for baseball.

We have a number of good softball teams and I, for one, want to be able to follow on one thread rather than page through, would could become, dozens.

On that note, I'm going to close this thread before a pissing match starts or it gets out of hand due to misinterpretations.
