We beat the #7 team in the country (and our biggest rival) yesterday. Some of the posts I read.
"Joe doesn't deserve to wear the blue and gray"
"Dixon saved Pastner's ass"
"Pastner made a bunch of dumb mistakes which nearly cost us the game"
"Joe was pouting and his body language sucked"
"Louisville may have been ranked 7th but they aren't the 7th best team in the country"
We cannot even celebrate a HUGE (and this was HUGE) win without enduring a barrage of negative posts. People cannot even look at Joe's body of work for the entire season (especially Vs Dixon's). Joe has two bad games and suddenly he sucks and Dixon is the star of the team. Never mind that Joe has been a better player than Dixon ALL SEASON (that isn't a shot at Dixon, who is a great player. Joe is just better).
I am just damned sick of the constant negativity. The constant cries to hire Bruce Pearl. The fact that people act like we're CIT bound when we have been ranked all season and have multiple top 25 (top ten) wins.
I'm still in celebration mode and am loving every minute of it
Maybe you just need a board break, or a more narrow focus on your target zone. List their names when you decide to pounce.
Your outbursts are attacking everyone who is simply curious about one of our key players, regardless of fan hood.
When I list names I get pounced on by 'the usual suspects' (not you) just as hard. Why even bother now?
I'm not going to take a board break. There is a group where who has already run off enough long time posters. They aren't going to run me off.
Well then, do what you gotta do. Just know that some fans don't appreciate being blanket targeted simply for being naturally concerned.
Noted...but please also note that nowhere did I say "If you are concerned then you suck as a fan". In fact, I though my post was pretty clear.
It's a ****** up backwards board where I now have to defend my posts DEFENDING THE PLAYERS AND COACHES while those who constantly post the "Joe sucks, Pastner sucks, etc" posts can do so ad libitum with no blowback from any but a few of us (and then we get pounced on).
So now we can drop f bombs here? Awesome. Its my favorite word.

How about not using the f word? Kids read this board.
A break from the board may be a good idea for you. Or how about putting all those on ignore that upset you.
I don't know you but your posts are representative of a highly emotional and volatile person. This board may not be good for your well being.
I've been here for 8 years and the board was fine. I am in no way a volatile person. Those who know me (and several on here do personally) would tell you that I'm one of the most laid back easy going people you'll ever meet.
That said, how about you take your DSM IV elsewhere. My mother is a psychologist. I'm good, well adjusted, and happy.
That said, I'm tired of the double standard where "Joe sucks" is ok but "I'm sick of people saying Joe sucks" is met with "Woah, you need a break from the board".
You have a point. And saying "Joe sucks" or any one of our guys suck is never ok.

No, no we can't.
And we're moving to smack. I'll discuss above privately as needed.
Thanks.

Everybody knows he has had a great year; the concern is about his play and body language of late. Even his free throw shooting has gone sour.
The statement was that he becomes disinterested in team success. The fact that he continues to make assists (more than Dixon, BTW) shows that to be untrue..
I think some folks on here WANT there to be drama and infighting on the team
Pastner and Co just beat the top ten ranked defending national champions with a HOF coach. What posts do we get? "Well, uhhhh, I think Joe hates Dixon and is a pouty little ***** over Dixon's greatness".
Seriously, are some of y'all SO DAMNED MISERABLE or hate this coach and team so much that you cannot even enjoy a win over Louisville?
So let me see if I have this right. If I ask why Joe was the only guy sitting instead of up cheering for his team in the last minutes of the game that means I did not enjoy the win and I hate the coach and team?
First of all, the players were not all standing; at various points some were standing, some were sitting. The only time JJ was sitting was during the Shaq free throw sequence and even then he got up and cheered. I rewound the last 4 minutes of the game and he spent plenty of time cheering.

So now people in another country watching on TV know more about what was happening on the bench than someone who was sitting across from the bench in the arena? Awesome.

I don't get the obsession with Stammers living in Canada. We have a fan that lives in another country...what is the freaking problem with that? I think it's awesome that we have fans around the world.
And most people at games actually watch the game, not the bench.

no, you dont have a side at all do you? the fact remains, people watching on TV do not see what is happening on the bench as much as people in the building (i am sure you will argue that point as well though). I am plenty able to watch the game and peek at the bench. Keep up the good fight though.
as for me having an obsession, you are hilarious. find the last time i mentioned our resident bully was from canada. i will wait patiently.

Didn't mean just you, in general people seem to bash him because he is in Canada. I find that kind of weird, but whatever floats your boat.

hmm, you read that as bashing him because he was canadian? how about reading it as me simply pointing out that someone in the building is going to have a better perspective than someone not in the building. There was simply extra added comedy because not only was he not in the building but not even in the country. and yes, I get that canadians see the same tv broadcast as americans.

He doesn't get bashed because he's from Canada.
He gets bashed because he's a smartazz, know it all, wanna-be internet tough guy from Canada.

I mentioned that I rewound it a bunch of times and saw JJ standing most of the time. You were watching JJ on the bench and ignoring the game, correct?

Apparently FUT spent the whole game watching Joe Jackson on the bench, and ignored what was happening on the court. I went to the UConn game. Some things are more easily observed in person; some are more easily observed when you have the benefit of multiple camera angles, instant replay, stopping the tape and watching the same play over and over again.
This is way too complicated for FUT, Joe, and HoopDreams/Bluebeard. To them it's a Canadian thing.

So now Bluebeard is HoopDreams? Whhhhhat?
First he was John Martin. Ummm no. Then on air, Jon Roser admitted he was Bluebeard and F'n with JM. But then he can't be, because he's to young to have a driving age daughter asking for car advice in the People's Forum. So HoopDreams has a driving age daughter?
Come clean Mr. Beard. Come clean my good sir.
