It's kind of crazy to think about, as bad as we've been this year, if we don't lose by 1 to NIU and in OT to CMU we're sitting at 9-7 tied for 3rd in the East with 18 wins on the year.

Was thinking the exact same thing earlier.

I was thinking the same but then I remembered the Goodson prayer against Akron and the Manley last second shot and I came back to reality.

RE: Kent State @ OU
This game was a pleasant surprise today. Several things that I think contributed to a win:
1. The team played with some intensity like they knew what they were doing for once.
2. The team played up to their strengths such as the 3 point shot. Like it or not, that is the strength IMO of this team. And yes they are going to live and die by it.
3. One player, and you know who this is, took only one shot I think instead of the usual 12 or so misses.
4. KK saw some minutes today.
5. Kellon Thomas was his usual, a very valuable player, and made clutch free throws near the end of the game. This kid does not get enough credit!
6. The team didn't fold after gaining a good sized lead.
7. The free throw percentage was so much better than it has been.
8. Derek Jackson putting the stops to Kellogg.
9. Manley shooting the threes and connecting.

We are 2-0 when I come on here before the game and predict a loss.

10. Ohio shot horribly from everywhere (FTs, FGs and 3s) and we shot well from 3s and FTs.
11. We out rebounded Ohio.

I was away from the game and saw the box score. We had 19 TO to 8 and we still won. Did we mishandle the ball that much?

Yes. Quite a few came against the press throwing horrible passes. Haven't done a good job handling the press in most games this year.

I watched the game and the TOs were the most troublesome part of our play. I seemed as if half were just bad or mishandled passes. Some of the most uncalled for errors are from the best players. ex. Jackson and Brewer. Hot shooting and rebounding made the day.

Meant to stop over earlier and say congrats on the win. Every time Ohio tried to make a run someone would hit a big 3 and run it back out to double digits. Good luck the rest of the season.

Sounds like our best game of the year and I couldn't watch. Is there a way to find a replay of it somewhere?

Ohio has archives of all their home games.
http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/ohio.portal
Click the "on demand" tab and the watch link should be on the right hand side.

Congrats to Senderoff/staff/team for a great road win, 1st @ Athens OH since 2010. Linder said that Ohio U was missing a player or 2, but I wasn't sure which 1s were missing? I wonder if they will be back for the MAC Tourney?
On a side note, anyone know the latest on Kretzer, McAdams, & Harney for the Zips? Will they be back for the game this Friday? The MAC Tourney?

Harney is back (having played Sat. vs. BG). Elton reports that Kretzer should be back for Zits Tues nite game vs. U-B. I believe McAdams is probably done for the season (at least 2 more weeks) with Mono.
