Let's face facts this team is not as talented as we all thought it was or think it is.

Garbage team with a one-dimensional coach.

+1 (the voice of reason)

Games are two halves.

Everyone knows that a team can lose the 1st half and win the 2nd (of course, we've had a number of 1st halfs only to...)

If I can get a vote: Talley and Riley co-MVP for this season.

We have GB III, Lee, etc. but Talley (offense) and Riley (defense) are the two most indispensable.

There are no MVPs on a sixth-seeded MAC team.

What a comeback. I was ready to leave when we were down 13, but this team didn't give up. I give them credit.

Still sooooo many problems, but props to Talley, Bryant, and Ward for getting us back in that and keeping our sliver of hope for the 4 seed alive. We are now tied with Ohio.

These teams are so even. EMU got a bunch of free-throws and made them. They finished and deserved too win. I didn't understand why EMU fans were surprised that NIU beat them the first time. NIU vs EMU equals really ugly BBall!

RE: GameDay: NIU
We are still kind of a long shot for a bye to CLE, but not impossible. We need to leapfrog both Ohio and Akron.

We are tied with Ohio so we need to win out and Ohio lose one. AND

We are a 1/2 game behind Akron, so Akron needs to lose 2 of their 3 remaining games. Akron does play Buffalo.

Both of these scenarios are necessary as we would lose tie-breakers to both Ohio and Akron.

I respect the hell out of NIU. Much, much, much better than you were last year, and it shows. That Armstead with the cornrows is gonna be a player.

Your coach is a bit maddening. Screaming at the refs all game probably didn't do you any favors.

I hope we don't have to see you in the MAC tourney. Best of luck the rest of the way.

RE: GameDay: NIU
That's Aaric Armstead. Next year he may not even start. Highsmith, Anthony Johnson and Aaric Armstead , two of the three will start. It should be a good battle. Also Michael Orris(Kansas St. transfer) will battle Baker for point guard. NIU is better, but they are a lot like EMU. They both are very frustrating for the fans. Montgomery will be a coaching star after he brings the NIU program out of the depts. of college bball. He has more passion then any of the players.
