As an NIU alum currently living in Athens,OH, it was even sweeter the 2nd time around. My takeaways:

1)Harnish=beast
2)Nathan Palmer=beast
3)Perez Ashford=beast
4)Jimmie Ward=beast

I'll just pretend this game was actually this year's MACC game. The cameo by Lynch at RB made it even sweeter.

I was there and I've probably watched another 4-5 times.

As you mention, some great performances especially from Napalm & Perez...but boy did we get some help from the bobcat.

We did not win that game as much as Ohio lost it. OTOH, we should have won the Miami game and going back in time the Akron games so go figure. I have attended them all end enjoyed the experience win or lose. The toughest loss was Akron because I really wanted coach Novak to win a MAAC

I never enjoy any experience when we lose. I go there to see the game. Lose and it's a miserable experience for me. Especially considering the money I spent on the trip. My wife is worse than I am. The one exception was the Orange Bowl. I expected us to lose and knew we would.

Part of what helps my wife and me is doing some fun things that are not related to the game as part of the weekend. Turn it into a micro vacation for which the game is the centerpiece but only one of many fun activities.

One thing that helps us is that our younger daughter is working on her PhD at the University of Michigan so the past few years we have spent a day with her in Ann Arbor before returning home. If we did not do that we would find something else.

How many schools would like to have as many as 5 recent trips to MACC, losing those games doesn't bother me, what bothers me is that I feel like NIU really was not prepared for the BGSU and Miami games.

2 MAC championships in 3 years, nothing to sneeze at, you cant win the championship every year :)

Agree. Kicker is, last year was the only lopsided game.

We could have gone 4-1 just as easily as 0-5.
