Any thoughts on who should be coach of the year?

I'm erasing CTF from my list. Eh, never mind, I'm rewriting his name on my list.

Kermit Davis has done a phenomenal job with a rag-tag group of guys. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the nod, but anyone really who's led their team to the top is capable and deserving.

Tim Floyd and it's not even close for me.

Floyd or Davis.

Manning has done a pretty good job too.

If UTEP has a top 4 finish it has to be Tech Alum Tim Floyd

In a 16-team league, there's going to be more than 1 legitimate choice.

But so far, I think it has to be Floyd.

Floyd will get some votes because his team has overcome a lot of adversity. However, he will probably lose some votes because he was at the helm when said adversity happened. Whether fair or not, that is how some will see it.

Manning won't get it, because Tulsa is leaving.

I would say it will go to either Kermit Davis or Micheal white

They can claim him if they want to also, but he did marry into a Bienville Parish family so I know he claims God's country as his own

I would be very, very surprised if Tim Floyd doesn't win.

Maybe Dmann, or the La Tech coach but I don't think Floyd should. He did a lot with a little; but, realistically he only had a little because the people he recruited and was supposed to be grooming as young gentleman turned out to be scrubs for one reason or another. Being a coach isn't all about X's & O's. I don't really think Dmann should either though. We had a similar problem, dismissing Swilling.

I vote for Mike Davis

A few weeks ago, it was Floyd's to lose...regardless of the why, UTEP now has lost 3 of the last 5....IMO, that has increased the chances of that (especially with 2 of the last 3 and 7 of their 9 losses coming at home)

....very surprised nobody has mentioned Tyndall.
