Well my first impression is that it doesn't have the murders row that last year did, but this is still far from a favorable schedule IMO.
I was hacked off that we had such a big conference game with BGSU in Week 2 last year- so naturally I'm perturbed that we have OU in Week 1 this year. I will also note that I've become a huge fan of the opener being a Thursday evening game. Seems like they've been doing that awhile so it almost feels like the Saturday is against tradition.
I love seeing SA come up north to play in our place Week 2. I'm a fan of these yearly games w/ the Sunbelt especially home and away- hope we keep doing them.
Toledo & NIU are tougher games from the west than I thought we'd draw.
Will be nice to finally get a chance to play UMASS.
UVA is must for any of you who have never attended a game there. I have currently experienced game day at 19 college stadiums around the country (mostly ACC, BIG & SEC) and UVA is in my top 3 I've been to. As mentioned by other posters defintely check out as much as Charlottesville as possible. Monticello is a MUST. Wish I could make it again, but will have to cut back on my travel schedule this fall as I'm getting married in December. It looks like my big game this season will be visiting Syracuse. Looking forward to experiencing the Carrier Dome
Army is always a good game IMO love seeing that for our last NC game.
I'm not even sure what to think about the Akron game last game on a Tuesday... didn't we already experiment with having that game on/around Thanksgiving and pretty much see it fail (attendance wise)??? Really bone-headed choice there.....
