The latest on the O'Bannon vs NCAA case
http://www.sbnation.com/college-football...ideo-games

A bunch of documents because unsealed this week in the Ed O'Bannon vs NCAA case. Pretty damning stuff for the NCAA. Lots of communications between the NCAA and EA, as well as between the NCAA and schools. Some of the information indicated that the NCAA knew that EA put the rosters in the game and kept them hidden more or less, while knowing that the intent was for EA to replcate exact likenesses. They also basically admitted that any of those SI DVDs that honored a team were technically violations of the NCAA code, and yet the NCAA and the schools still allowed their sale.

Based on this revelation, I'd say the NCAA had better start looking to settle, because they are going to be creamed.

Even more news. Today the judge ordered settlement talks. This one could be over soon.

Quote:U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken ordered today that settlement talks occur between the NCAA and two sets of plaintiffs associated with the case. Wilken wrote in a one-page document that the case has been referred to Magistrate Judge Nathanel Cousins for "a settlement conference to be held as soon as it is convenient."
