Off Campus Stadiums
Few people want an on-campus stadium more than I do. I wanted it enough to contribute $500 of hard-earned money to the Heery Report (and still don't regret it). At the same time, I realize that we may have higher priorities at this time and cannot afford everything at once. I DO still think that a stadium should be included in the long-range campus master plan.

Be that as it may, we are in pretty good shape as it is. Our stadium is very nice in many respects, rent is affordable and Tiger Lane is a valuable asset. I was at the USF game in Tampa last Fall and our tailgating set-up blows them away. Those who fret over being 2 1/2 miles from campus, should think about this: UCLA and Miami play their games in stadiums 16 miles and 21 miles away, respectively. They seem to do ok.

Nothing wrong with the Liberty Bowl...but in the next 10-12 years we will need a new stadium...I wish we would start planning now, so when the time comes we're prepared.

Good for you. We need more people donating to fiction writers so they can continue to put out good fiction materials.
