There is that but Northwestern has less than 9,000 undergrads its not unheard of.

That said both are good schools on the academic front. SMU gets them into Texas and the DFW market.

Tulsa.... ehh I can see the argument both ways just like every school he listed with the exception of Old Dominion.

I see no valid (however slim) argument to the SEC adding them.

Yeah, I don't see ODU getting to the SEC anytime soon. But, I can imagine up a scenario where Virginia Tech goes to the SEC, and UVA goes to the Big 10. The ACC would have no representation in Virginia, and ODU is the only other FBS team there. So yeah, ODU to ACC, calling it right now.

By that same token, I can see Tulane as a sleeper for the B12, if all other avenues are exhausted.

RE: 20 Team Conferences
Tulane is a little different thanks to their awesome academics and location in a great travel destination for the fans.

If the Big 12 and SEC both have REAL 20 team expansion lists (ie not this wishful thinking at best stuff) then I wouldn't be surprised if Tulane is featured in either or both as a potential around the #19/#20 area.
