NIU kinda concerns me. They play hard, rebound well and are the kind of team we have trouble with because we keep letting them hang around. Threloff had a huge game against an EMU team that beat us like a drum. We're gonna need all ten of Garber and Boothe's fouls tonight, I think. Go Rockets!!

We need to come out and step on teams throats. Break their will. Hopefully tonight that happens.

I've got us by 6, and a comeback to do it. Scoring in the 60's or 70's is likely tonight.

Every remaining team we play concerns me. It feels like anything can happen in the MAC, any team could beat any team on any given night. It'd be a nice change to see the Rockets come out really strong and just take it to 'em the entire time.

A true rivalry is competition in anything that is done between the two schools. Go Rockets!!!! And we haven't lost to BG this year.

College rivalry? Maybe. But obviously the definition of rivalry doesn't fall under that as professional sports teams only play one sport.

But do you really think UNC fans love beating Duke in football, No. Because outside of this year, they kick the crap out of them. What about former Big East basketball. Louisville and other teams were rivals there and played each other in nothing else. How about college wrestling, Lehigh and Penn State are starting to have angst, they only compete in that.

H20 tries to play it out like this because he thinks he's cool. Football is a rivalry, why don't you go ask the players what they think of each other. Our opinions really don't matter.

H2o. I think you jinxed us last night with your post. From now on let's consider everyone in the Mac as a rival. Granted some are more historic than others but let's take the humble approach. The niu faithful seem like good guys and I am getting tired of the "you are not our rival" rhetoric. They are definitely a good rival over the past decade in football - same as Marshall was in the past, even though BG is our historic and geographic rival.

I guess I need to make a blanket statement like "we suck and I apologize for littering the landscape of college basketball with our decaying, bleached bones of a team" that I can cut an dpost into each thread. Except then I'll hear that my jokes are getting old!

Toledo gets everyone's "A Game" no matter what sport it is.... Believe it or not all the schools in the MAC measure themselves to Toledo. It's amazing how many teams play their best game of the year when the Rockets are the opposing team. (for those who don't know, I'm not being cocky, it's just the way it works out all the time)
