7 feels low, but it's relatively irrelevant. We take care of business down the stretch (3-1 and conference finals) and we'll be a solid 5 or higher. We finish getting smacked, we'll be a 8/9 or lower.

Our seed boils down to this.

The winner of this conference should be "at worst" a 3 seed. A 4 is just ridiculous for Cincy if they were to win out.

If we are not in the top 5 seeds, it will be tough to get thru the first week-end.

We have enough big games left to ensure ourselves a top 5 seed, or an early exit.

RE: USA TODAY's NCAA tournament Bracketology
it's crazy to me they are giving our conference winner a 4 seed, yet still considering Tennessee on the edge of the bubble as the first five out. Hell, Tennessee shouldn't be in the first 10 out. All they have done all year is beat a good virginia team. Since then, they have absolutely done nothing but underperform all year with quite a bit of talent. Hell, they got swept by an underperforming A&M team. What a joke.

3 of the 3 seeds are Big 10 teams.

Missouri is still on there as an 11. They destroyed all hope for a bid this week

5-5 over last 10 and may end the season 2-2. The SEC is legitimately only a 2 bid conference but you know that will not happen. How in hell Tennessee is even on the bubble is beyond me.

Newest addition has Missouri out but them and Tennessee still listed as first 5 out.

People...look at the bubble teams and propose better alternatives. You likely cannot. So, instead of griping about TN try to find better suited teams in that slop.

If not for the bias toward only giving one bid to certain conferences then there are a numbers who could get bids. USM could end up 27-6 and get left out if La Tech or MTSU wins conference tournament. .

Fine. Explain WHY USM is a better alternative than any other teams. Don't just throw out "USM is 27-6..." as "proof" that they are deserving.

USM:
Vs. Top 50 teams: 1-1
Vs. 51-100 teams: 3-1
RPI 100+ losses: 3
RPI: 36
SOS: 139
Best "name" win: None. Best rpi win: (#44) North Dakota State.

Georgetown:
Vs. Top 50 teams: 4-5
Vs. 51-100 teams: 2-3
RPI 100+ losses: 3
RPI: 64
SOS: 26
Best "name" win: Michigan State

Tennessee:
Vs. Top 50 teams: 2-6
Vs. 51-100 teams: 5-3
RPI 100+ losses: 2
RPI: 58
SOS: 15
Best "name" win: Virginia

Oregon:
Vs. Top 50 teams: 1-5
Vs. 51-100 teams: 6-2
RPI 100+ losses: 1
RPI: 42
SOS: 44
Best "name" win: BYU

BYU:
Vs. Top 50 teams: 3-5
Vs. 51-100 teams: 4-1
RPI 100+ losses: 4
RPI: 34
SOS: 31
Best "name" win: Texas
