One of the Springfield Armor's top players this season is being rewarded with a chance to play for an NBA team.

Forward Adonis Thomas signed a 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic on Monday and will suit up with his new team Tuesday at Washington. The signing was first reported Friday by multiple media outlets, and Thomas used social media to confirm the move Saturday.

"I am truly blessed to say I will be signing with the Orlando Magic on Monday," Thomas posted Saturday on Twitter. "I will be joining the team on Tuesday vs. Washington Wizards!"

In 26 games - 21 of them starts - the 20-year old from the University of Memphis is third on the Armor in scoring at 16.2 points per game and tops in 3-point percentage at .469. He participated in the NBA Development League 3-point contest Feb. 15 in New Orleans.

Still wish he'd of stayed one more year and honed in on his un-tapped potential. I think if he would have, his road to the NBA would have been alot easier with more money. However, congrats to the guy and wish him the best. Hope he represents the Tigers and the city of Memphis well.

There were several things that perplexed me about Adonis' game while he was here, but one of them is how his shooting form could look so great and the results be so bad. I was convinced, based on how his shot looked, that it would start to fall.

The other major one was how a guy who is so athletic and skilled, got to the rim so few times.

I think the best answer is that he really got in his own head while he was here. Hopefully, he flourishes in Orlando. Take advantage Adonis!

I hope he has a long and successful career. Congratulations to Adonis.

Being a Magic fan I can say they don't have anyone his size with his skill set on the wing. May be the perfect spot if he shows up to play!

Who all is in the league . . .

Elliot Williams has been getting 19.4 min over the last 10 games for the 76ers,
CDR is playing sparingly for the Bobcats,
Will Barton is playing even sparinglier for Portland,
Tyreke is playing in most games for the Pelicans,
someone posted awhile back that Shawne Williams was cut by the Lakers.

FWIW, Orlando plays Philly tom. night. Wonder if they'll both get on the court at the same time.
