The MT Raiders return to the AP Top 25 poll after a brief hiatus with a jump from #26 to #23. This week they face ECU in Greenville and UAB for Senior Day at the Murphy Center on Saturday.

Well, as of Feb 24 their vote in the AP actually ranks them 34th which in my book is pretty close to being ranked.

I'm pulling for you guys. If you all can win out until the conference final, I think you'd have a good case for a bid to the NCAA tournament. I just wish you didn't have that Hampton loss or the ODU one. Grab a win in either of those two games and I would be a lot more confident about your chances.

Of course, I hope you guys are sweating it out come Selection Monday and not already assured of your place.

So when MT doesn't make the conference or tournament they have ammunition for an at large bid? Or at least the NIT or CBI?

Absolutely. We've been seeded around 8 seed for the last while on ESPN's Bracketology, which is more than enough for an at-large bid if necessary.

That being said, best case for CUSA is MT winning out all the way to the tournament finals and losing there to give the conference two bids. I won't be pulling for that, though.

Middle is beating ECU pretty handily tonight. Looks like we'll be coming in hot for the Senior Day game against UAB.

ecu was fouling every trip down by the Raiders the last three or four minutes it seemed...

if the Lady Raiders had hit a decent FT% final score would not have been close at all.
