And of course that thread is going to say UC the majority of the time since they just played and beat them this weekend. Most people have short memories.

Yeah, but Cincinnati and Louisville have that geographic proximity and the whole Mason-Dixon line thing, and, uh... um...

What was this thread about again?

You would be surprised how many Louisville fans would disagree..

So would you.

I travel to Louisville a lot for work. And I'm always talking to Louisville fans and a lot of the older ones could care less about UK and see Memphis and Cincinatti as their real rival.

Who Loserville fans see as their rival is generational....any child of the 80's & earlier would probably say Memphis, anyone younger than that will say Cincinnati.

I will say, Cincinnati's presence in football with Louisville probably also tips the scales a little bit with some fans. We just don't have that with the Cards.

They are mortal enemies that kicked up a notch when Pitino returned to the state to coach Louisville

I can attest to this. UK is brutal. You guys got a small taste with those douchebags when they hired Cal. The most delusional fan base in the world. Bama football is close. But there's nothing better than listening to a UK sports call in shows after they lose. It's almost as good as when we win a game like we did against Cincy.

I'd have to agree with whoever said in this thread that our rivalry with you was bigger at it's highest than our rivalry with Cincy at it's highest.

We REALLY had some good old fashioned hate going with you all. And now that edge is kinda gone, which is probably a good thing. More respect there than maybe before. But the old Metro Conference battles were freakin legendary. And Missouri Valley before that, although that was before my time. Back in the day, you guys were pretty close to the hate we feel for UK. And that's saying something.

So .... I'd consider you guys a bigger rival than Cincy.

Looking forward to trying to get some revenge from our earlier loss to you all this year. Should be a good game. Both our teams match up pretty well.

.

Welcome to the board.....we hate you too 04-cheers LOL

That's one of my arguments for why we should play Ole Miss and UT but no one seems to agree.

I just don't see the parallel. UK and UL is always a fight between two tradition rich basketball schools that hate each other. UT and Ole Miss hate UM because UM has always carried the state and area in basketball. Something UT, undoubtedly, has felt about football, especially in the past.

UL does seem to have a pretty strong hatred towards Memphis over UC, however.

You don't see the parallel? Do you see all the threads about UT and Ole Miss that get posted here? It's like our fans have a fetish for seeing them fail. That's what makes good rivalries.

I have to admit. I do see them brought up a lot. Not so much by the UM fans though.

You got that right. I'm good with playing in this new conf and don't give a #@@$ about either of those SEC puke schools.
